    Keep 'em coming Hollywood:
Soon even Massachusetts will be a Red State.

  4. 8497 Matthew 2005-01-14 19:36:52

You might like to explain that for those of us who arent Americans. We do exist I can assure you.

  5. 8498 Erik 2005-01-14 20:01:13

I *think* he meant that it was offensive enough to convert Democrats to Republicans. How cause and effect would work in that case escapes me, but that's what I think he meant.

Saying "red" and "blue" state is an insider-sounding way of talking about the way electoral votes have gone in the last few US elections. It was based on the colors used by various networks in reporting the election results. It is an incredibly simpleminded way of viewing politics over here, but giving fools a soapbox is what websites are *for*. :c)

Ahh, I thought it may have been something along those lines.

_For those of you who are Americans (and Im sure youre out there somewhere) - Ignore Erik's post_ (We all know how explaining a joke ruins it ;-) )

    you don't get it.

  8. 8501 Mike 2005-01-15 00:22:08

Wall St Journal had an article about this joke today (1-14-05). It's an old joke--every comedian knows it, and many of them tell it. They only tell it to other comedians, though, never to an audience. Think Friar's club roast. Penn Jillette has made a movie which includes 16 examples of the joke, including the South Park one.

The joke is considered a test of a comedian's skills, as the description of the family's act involves some improvisation.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the film "The Aristocrats" is slated to be screened (premiered, I believe) at the prestigious Sundance Festival in Park City, Utah. Which, if you think about it, showing it there is sort of a joke in its own right. It will be unrated and does not have a distribution deal. Don't look for it at your local multiplex.

I bet you haven't ever had two references to reading something in the Wall Street on your website.

  10. 8528 Not Joe 2005-01-25 17:29:02

According to yesterday's Washington Post, They are entertaining multiple offers for distribution. Soon to be available at multiplex's everywhere but the bible belt.

It just got signed today so we will be seeing the DVD with lots of extras according to the director during the Q !-- X-spaminator-strike: bad referer - spambot?, 3 -->

  15. 8926 mthed 2005-04-28 07:04:53

the key is the interaction between kyle and cartman. he keeps brushing him off like the joke is leading to some amazing conclusion. the real punch line is when cartmans says that he doesn't get the joke either :)

  16. 8929 Froggy 2005-04-29 03:13:04

Cartman fucked up the joke, it was actually the MOM who ran around with shit dripping out of her mouth as the baby shuvved his hard infantile prick up his SISTER'S ass. The DAD was the one who pissed all over everyone as they all crammed the baby up HIS ass. Minor details, but Cartman still did a pretty good job telling the joke.

  17. 8991 maredith 2005-05-07 18:58:33

awesome... i don't think it could get even more offensive than that :)

  18. 8912 mc oroville 2005-06-06 11:22:09

Massachusetts will NEVER be a red state. My old state knows better than to succumb to the evils of the red states.

  21. 9150 RTS 2005-07-23 18:58:42

Wait... so is the joke funny because it makes fun of the rich? Or is it just that gross that it has to be funny?

    Froggy,
cartman didn't mess up the joke - you can't mess it up. it is improvised and no two are the same.

  41. 9513 KyGolden 2006-02-03 09:36:20

This was crazy funny. Husband & I saw it while on vacation in Clearwater FL. Right off the bat they start in just like the South Park clip...an older couple gets up and walks out. About five mins into it another couple and a couple of singles walked out. Half way thru the show some crazy chick gets up, walks up to the movie screen, and starts arguing with it! I dont know if it was just the complete jaw dropping oh-my-gawe reaction of the movie or the combination of movie & surroundings, but I laughed my ass off!

  42. 9559 Broicius 2006-02-21 23:22:02

Hmm, what can you say. You can look for hidden means but the real one is Americans should no be allowed to breed.

  43. 9598 evolutiontools 2006-03-19 12:17:05

The funniest thing I've ever heard. Makes me want to see the movie.

  44. 9786 Mick 2007-01-07 02:22:47

Whoever said that Cartman got it 'wrong' is an idiot. There is no right and wrong to the joke, it's 100% improv. The only way for it to be 'wrong' is if the punchline was "and they call it...the really offensive dirty joke routine".

  45. 9802 Jarrell 2007-02-09 15:40:55

    Funny, I guess.
