Well, they didnt reply to my last email within the assured 12-24hours so ive sent it again asking for a reply asap.
Seems the traditional Apple UK customer service as crept in - they really need to have iTunes phone numbers. If i still dont get any reply by Monday (thatll be 3 or 4 days since my original email i think) i may try calling the UK regular Apple store and see if they can help.
I still dont have much hope of a satisfactory resolution for me (that is a credit for a new album) but Ill keep trying anyway as emailing them is no problem for me and hopefully Ill atleast get a decent response from them - and the fact that ive now bought the other version would encourage them to realise it was a genuine mistake and take pity on me for the paltry sum of £7.99
