Open Mic Night will be every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from July at The Fawcett Inn, Fawcett Road, Portsmouth, UK!

As you will see if you visit my site, I have redesigned it slightly, very much following Binary Bonsai’s lead. Note though, that it is clearly not finished yet but as it works, i though what the hell switch over now and just progressively fix it. The archives, feeds and about pages are just holders. The gallery is not yet in style with the rest of the site. The side bar will also be paired down to its minimum and bits will move in to some of the other pages.
This is an ongoing project so my plan is to attempt to get the holder pages up and running first and then tweak them so that they do what I want them to do.

The Perils of... - from my local pub, it was “The Perils of Childbirth”

Err, Sarah managed to *break* her iMac by *tidying up* and moving the ‘System’ folder into another ‘System’ folder. Well, after much hair tearing I managed to fix it by connect her iMac to my Powerbook by firewire cable then whilst mine was on I booted hers and held ‘t’ (Target Disk Mode), this mounted her drive on my mac so I could move the ‘System’ back. Then (eventually) booting from the Panther install cd by holding ‘x’ at boot and selecting the CD I went to Disk Utility and repaired priviledges.

Ok, so I emptied the bin and its stopped again.

Right, fingers crossed, I had to bless the new ‘system’ folder. Seems ok now. Id best just Repair Privileges again, just to be sure

Doh!

heh, found from Nothing But Me i preparingforemergencies.co.uk.
Read carefully.

This is all very well, but wheres our European (not Pepsi or Coke please!) version? Also, where the fuck are our free songs?

OK, heres a sneaky preview of my probably new design, well actually its more the mechanics than the design, inspired by BinaryBonsai I want to remove as much guff as possible. Yes it is quite similar to BinaryBonsai at the moment but this is more the mechanics than the design honestly. The nav button text is just my ideas currently and the position is also subject to my changes. None of them also work properly at the moment while I decide what it should contain.

Im not an American so this is to some degree irrelevant to me, but its bloody funny anyway.

Inspired (yet again) by Binary Bonsai, Ive set up Nice titles which does the nice mouse overs. Ive customised it somewhat to make it look more like Safari when you drag a link around.

Heres the much vaunted Preparing for Emergencies which has been in the news today. “Duck and Cover”

Well Done Jenson, and 4th DC, Well Done to you too!

Looking good in the sun

The bluetooth range on my new Sony Ericsson K700 seems huge comapred with my old T610, it reaches upstairs and through walls/floors for about 15-20ft - fantastic.

Well, Ive updated my default set of random images for the header. I have also, in honour of Jenson Button and this Weekends F1 in Hockenheim set this weekends images to some of Jenson - although, of course, good luck to all the British drivers. Ill try to do this more frequently for other events if I remember to and Im also tempted to see if I can chaneg them depending on the time of day.

//edit - Ive also added David Coulthard to the F1 random headers

Err, well. I managed to accidentally spill a drink on my PowerBooks keyboard yesterday. Luckily, apart from smelling slightly sweeter (it was M&S Strawberry and Aloe Vera water) it seems fine. No sticky keys or anything, although I did take some of the keys off to dry underneath as soon as I could - I didnt go too mad as I was worried about breaking them.

lol, inspired casting from Eastenders, Dot saw the same doctor as the actor used in Chris Morris Jam TV series (If you see what I mean - the doctor in the Jam series and the one that Dot saw in Eastenders was the same actor) - I kept expecting him to congratulate Dot on her ‘lob rate’.

heh. fantastic!

Ok, I now have a gallery, visit it while I have the bandwidth. At some point Ill fix the CSS so it more closely resembles my site.
Also, I did a redirect earlier for anyone still tring to access my Thistle RSS feed, unfortunately it fucked up my site as it redirected index.php (instead of index.php?type=rss) to the wordpress rss. Anyway, Ive fixed it now.
