Err, Sarah managed to *break* her iMac by *tidying up* and moving the 'System' folder into another 'System' folder. Well, after much hair tearing I managed to fix it by connect her iMac to my Powerbook by firewire cable then whilst mine was on I booted hers and held 't' (Target Disk Mode), this mounted her drive on my mac so I could move the 'System' back. Then (eventually) booting from the Panther install cd by holding 'x' at boot and selecting the CD I went to Disk Utility and repaired priviledges.
Ok, so I emptied the bin and its stopped again.
Right, fingers crossed, I had to bless the new 'system' folder. Seems ok now. Id best just Repair Privileges again, just to be sure
