No F1 for Silverstone in 2005

I know theres more important things in the news today, but the news that Silverstone wont host an F1 race next year (at least if Bernie Ecclestone doesnt change his mind) is pretty fucking disgusting in my opinion. I know Silverstone isnt the greatest of tracks from a visitors point of view (not that Ive been) but its historical significance in F1 more than makes up for that. Apparently he was after £9m but they bidded £6m and expected to make a loss on that. F1 has been gradually diluted with lower grip and power and removed technical devices which seem to have been mysteriously helping Ferarri (yes theyre good, but still) so that the rules are almost "Any car can win so long as its red and driven by a driver whose name begins with S and should said car finish last it still gets 10 points.". I fear for the future of F1 and can see people turning off in droves as the drivers get fed up and leave F1. Coupled with Jaguar pulling out of F1 which also causes problems for Jordan this is not good for F1.
