Michael has been discussing books, including Cryptonomicon. Ive not read this, but after reading the description on Amazon I think Ill buy it as my next read. First though, I have to finish Incompetence by Rob Grant, most famous as the co-creator with Doug Naylor of Red Dwarf. Speaking of which Id definitely recommend reading both Red Dwarf Omnibus: Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers & Better Than Life. Rob Grant’s other non-Dwarf book, Colony is also well worth a read.

Back to the point though, Ive been working my way through William Gibsons output and have recently finished Pattern Recognition, not my favourite Gibson book, but its good. Im also a bit of a Robert Rankin addict, his last being The Witches of Chiswick which was a good read and his newest is Knees Up Mother Earth but as I dont like reading hard back books Ill be having to wait a while for that one, although itll give me a chance to read my Incompetence and Cryptonomicon.

Edit: Well, I bought Cryptonomicon at lunch, although it is about 1.5 inches thick and has quite small type size so i expect itll take an age to get through. I also bought Bob Dylan, Chronicles: Volume One - though not for me.
