John Gruber on Joe Trotter's "God I Hate Wordpress" article. "I've never seriously investigated WordPress, but I'm nearly certain that if I wanted to, I could switch Daring Fireball from Movable Type to WordPress without changing the design at all." No doubt. Remember kids, the software behind the blog is just a tool.

Dude, there is something very very wrong with your feedburner feed, it's injecting masses of HTML tags into the feed, making it really, really hard to read. ;)
Wordpress is the store, a design (theme) is just the store-front. Anything CSS and PHP will let you do, can be done via any content engine.
Nothing like 'big names' tripping over such a simple differentiation.
Really? It looks fine to me in NetNewsWire and Safari. What are you reading it in? And what URL?
[...] Just like somefool, I read John Gruber’s response that really does point out the obvious. “But it’s just HTML and CSS; the software that generates it should be no more noticeable or relevant to you, the reader, as is whether a magazine was laid out using QuarkXPress or InDesign.” [...]
Google reader (at work).
It may have been the quote - not sure.
Could have been, I had a few dodgy characters due to copy/pasteing from Daring Fireball, I noticed them later and altered the post.
