Charlie Brooker has some suggestions about lying for fun.

Text a friend at random saying: "Wahey! I'm in a HELICOPTER!" Someone did this to me once; it worked a treat. Try it now. Go on.

You and a friend are listening to an unfamiliar song on the radio. Before it finishes, say, "I can't believe this is Charles Dance - the man's lost his mind", then maintain that it is Charles Dance, it really bloody is, honestly, you read about it somewhere. Keep the pretence up as long as you can, despite their protestations, even if it's a woman singing. Say he's recorded it for a cow charity. Get angry if they don't believe you. They will eventually. They always do.

Some silly creationists are finally opening their wacky $27 million Creation Museum on Monday in Petersburg, Kentucky. The slogan on the museum's site? "Prepare to believe."

The fantastic British Mac podcast by Will Green has a Desert Island Apps feature where,in a strikingly similar format to BBC Radio 4s Desert Island Discs, people send him a list of their 5 apps they would want on a desert island.

Brendan has updated the WordPress admin strip plugin.

I have updated the plugin admin strip two, sporting full support for wordpress 2.1.x and 2.2, along with added support for UTW, which, if detected, adds the current tag count and a handy link to the tags. #

Coincidence? Why don’t you try commenting, maybe just ask them if they’re only allowing comments which support their view? Does the official Scientologist’s website have anything to say?

More opinion.

The freshly launched Google Analytics v2 looks really rather good, certainly a worthy competitor to Mint, and it's free! There's some screen grabs at Avinash Kaushik's site to feast your eyes upon until it becomes active for you - "Version 2 is so radically different and provides such a compelling value proposition to users of web analytics that I am excited to write a blog post about a product (the first time I have done this in 11 months of existence of this blog)."
I'd really like the ability to tag or in someway group my xBox 360 friends so I can see who I know from OAPs, FRAGs, PGR3 and Gears at a glance.
Greenpeace responds to their Green My Apple campaign (which it seems has some how won a 'Webby' award) apparently working on Apple. Seems to me Apple has been doing most of this for a few years and now Greenpeace come along and say "look, we made Apple change" - well done Greenpeace, did the cart push the horse? #
