We had a few volume issues and then it went a little crackly.

Another eventful evening, thank you to all the new-comers.

Another great night of good music, sorry no pics of Evolve, my bad.

Wow! What a race! From the choreographed Ferrari opener into the first corner right to the post race twist. With Hamilton’s attempted heroic fight through to the front end of the race in-between.

If there’s one thing this race is going to be remembered for, I don’t think it’s Raikkonen’s victory but Hamilton’s car problems then subsequent battle through the traffic to try and get some points.

Massa having “difficulties” and slowing to let Raikkonen through? Who cares?

Alonso’s luke-warm slower than the Ferrari’s 3rd place? You what now?

No, Hamilton’s gear problems loosing him 30 seconds down to 18th, then seemingly genius but later unfortunate pit strategy which oh-so-nearly could have got him some more points if he hadn’t have had to stop a 3rd time. Then cruising up to the Ferraris, which he was a lap behind, while they were doing 1:14.5 (ish) and then pushing them down to 1:12.5 in the final 10 or so laps.

Then to cap it all, the BMW Saubers and Williams are then found to have fuel irregularities for which McLaren have appealed the decision not to take it any further by the stewards. 2007 Championship decided in the F1 courts? It’s almost to perfect a way to decide a season which seems to have spent to long in FIA hearings.

Roll on next season and come on Hamilton!

A few more issues with left channel only recording, but we do at least now know the cause - a dodgy knob! Also first time recording straight to external drive, albeit a USB and not Firewire drive, but it went well nonetheless.

Huge apologies on this one, problems again this week with “Disk too slow” errors cropping up seemingly every 10 minutes. The hard drive on my MacBook Pro is a very slow 5400rpm drive and whilst its generally ok, when the drive is filling up and space is scarce it can get a few of these errors. A solution is in hand though and plans are in place to get a Firewire drive to move the recording stress off the Mac’s hard drive. The drive is also needed to go with the new desk.

That said, I think the recording went well and the small breaks hopefully shouldn’t spoil your enjoyment.

A few problems at the start with the USB audio again mysteriously over to the left. This week though it even more mysteriously sorts its self out over time. Maybe a USB audio foible? Who knows?.

As discussed previously we are getting a replacement desk, but it’s a Phonic Helix 18 channel, not merely 12. It should arrive in a couple of weeks and hopefully will alleviate all our problems with the USB desk.

Another night with a few technical issues, which unfortunately for some reason we cannot get to the bottom of Cool Banana’s set is only 5 minutes long and then at the end loops a small sample continuously. I’ve left a few seconds of the looping on the end. It’s possibly due to the desk being moved and possibly a dodgy USB cable - not sure.

Slight problem with The Autons recording, “Slow Disk Error” lost about 3 seconds from a song. Time to get a Firewire drive maybe.

Apple’s dotmac hosting seems to be down/slow at the moment - sorry.
