As discussed previously we are getting a replacement desk, but it's a Phonic Helix 18 channel, not merely 12. It should arrive in a couple of weeks and hopefully will alleviate all our problems with the USB desk.

[...] Huge apologies on this one, problems again this week with “Disk too slow” errors cropping up seemingly every 10 minutes. The hard drive on my MacBook Pro is a very slow 5400rpm drive and whilst its generally ok, when the drive is filling up and space is scarce it can get a few of these errors. A solution is in hand though and plans are in place to get a Firewire drive to move the recording stress off the Mac’s hard drive. The drive is also needed to go with the new desk. [...]
