ExpanDrive is a very useful little utility which mounts sftp servers as drives in the Finder. There’s been a few interesting things written about ExpanDrive including using it in conjunction with BlueHarvest to remove those sneaky DS_Store files. The only issue I’ve had is that on my MacBook Pro I had to connect to the server via the Terminal initially so I could approve a key file. I’d also like to see the ability to change permissions on the server in the Finder, but it’s early days yet and there is a forum in order to express ideas and issues.
Note theres a free alternative out there called MacFusion.

You mean the MacFuse app thing? Can’t say I’ve got it to work.
what some sort of command line ‘nonsense’. No doubt I could connect to AFP servers through the terminal - and probably EVEN delete files and folders.
Do I choose to? No. Why not? Because Id much rather do it with a GUI - that is where utilities like ExpanDrive step in.
That all sounds very interesting and useful. Do you have any links to somewhere to show how to actually implement this? A walk-through maybe?
Well Id just found and was installing MacFusion so I guess I was partway there already.
trying it now
