As you may (or may not if you don't visit often) have noticed this site has been very quiet recently with just the odd post of a photo or 2. Well that is mainly due to my new found hobby of photography since getting my Nikon D40, meeting up with the Portsmouth at Night Flickr group peeps every Wednesday and then more recently purchasing a Nikon D90.
So in short, it seems unlikely that I'll be posting anything intelligible or worthwhile (Did I ever? But that's another matter) or unrelated to photography in the short term. To that end my plan is to gear this blog more around photography.
The first stage is what you should be seeing above ☝ (If this post is still on the homepage). Simply my favourite photo's from Flickr in some sort of next/previous fashion - this is just the initial working copy I've thrown up in an hour or so (many thanks to h0bbel for the code though I've noticed it doesn't work in Firefox - doh! (fixed) I might use have for now changed to Flickr's own embedding system) and will be tweaked.
The next stage was setting the amount of posts on the home page to 3 (so it looks a bit odd at the moment) but I plan to grapple more with Habari, work out how to do excerpts and then have 3 posts in 3 columns under the current large photo as seen above.
Next will be tidying up the whole thing some more, probably removing the strip of Flickr images seen at the top (at the very least from the hope page) and actually writing something useful. My plans at the moment include details about how I geotagged my photos with my iPhone and before/after hints and tips on some selected photos from my Flickr.
This will, of course, all occur in my time honoured fashion of either taking ages or all done over a weekend.
