As you may (or may not if you don't visit often) have noticed this site has been very quiet recently with just the odd post of a photo or 2. Well that is mainly due to my new found hobby of photography since getting my Nikon D40, meeting up with the Portsmouth at Night Flickr group peeps every Wednesday and then more recently purchasing a Nikon D90.

No doubt I've mentioned these before; Nee Naw - Blog of a Dispatcher in the London Ambulance Service's Control Room is always a good read, no less so than today's post

I knew it was going to be a suspended the second the operator connected the call. Whilst a hysterical caller does not always (or even usually) mean a serious call, these weren't the usual panicking screams but howls of sheer terror. I wondered if it was going to be something gruesome; it was almost a relief went she told me that the patient was her elderly grandmother, who was "not waking up". #

And Random Acts Of Reality is another blog which is also always very interesting.

Just a note to say my blog should now be fully on WordPress 2.2, any odd boo boos don't hesitate to tell me. It was a tough choice, but I figured I'd have to upgrade sooner or later. BTW, this is posted form within TextMate by BlogMate. Oh yeah, and I discovered WP2.2 hosed my meticulously setup htaccess file - cheers WP!

Seems the new kid on the blogware/cms block is Habari. It's still early days yet, but keep any eye on this one. If you're on a Mac, you can install MAMP and give it a try on your localhost. Contribute at #habari on irc.freenode.net.
