As discussed previously we are getting a replacement desk, but it's a Phonic Helix 18 channel, not merely 12. It should arrive in a couple of weeks and hopefully will alleviate all our problems with the USB desk.

Jon and I (Jon is the other member of the audio engineering team at The Fawcett) are looking at getting a nice Firewire mixer for.. well, not just the Open Mic Nights but for anything else which might come up but also just because it's got flashy lights and LEDs. We have so far decided in this Phonic Helix 12 which should allow each audio track to go as a separate track to Garageband for remixing, fixing levels, EQ etc later. So, if anyone has any experience with such setups and useful suggestions, please speak up. Thanks.
