Jon and I (Jon is the other member of the audio engineering team at The Fawcett) are looking at getting a nice Firewire mixer for.. well, not just the Open Mic Nights but for anything else which might come up but also just because it's got flashy lights and LEDs. We have so far decided in this Phonic Helix 12 which should allow each audio track to go as a separate track to Garageband for remixing, fixing levels, EQ etc later. So, if anyone has any experience with such setups and useful suggestions, please speak up. Thanks.

I've just installed iLife 08 on my Mac and besides a few scares with Garageband initially not installing - it's great. I now have a web gallery of my site designs which I have set to take every Monday using this fine little script. In the past it's just been emailing to my gmail account and being filed away under a tag as I didn't want to add too much rubbish to my Flickr account but this seems perfect. Even more so than that, the script emails the grab to .mac which then also syncs with iPhoto and adds the grab back into my iPhoto library. Wow! That also means that I can now have a gallery of random rubbish which I can add to by simply emailing.

Im sure Ive mentioned this before, The Beastie Boys have a cappella downloads of loads of tracks for your own amusement for remixing in Garageband and alike. Heres my unfinished 10 minute effort. Its now the full length, but Ill just keep re-uploading it as and when its updated. Nothing special, just for fun. Yet another update.

As the wonderful MacIdol people give you a mega-extreme 3gb space, I thought Id upload some more tracks. These are progressions of later tracks which are already on my macIdol page. So, here we go we have Untitled #1 v1, Untitled #1 v2a, Untitled #1 v3, Untitled #1 v4 and retroscan v1.
I also have a version of Bad News' Warriors of Genghis Khan but as MacIdol doesnt allow covers I cannot upload it to there. It is only a jam session to the main riff but its fun nonetheless, maybe Ill stick it on my .mac account no sooner said than done.

Oh yes, its another song. This one, The Fly, has been around for a while but Ive just got around to uploading it. Its a collaboration (of sorts) between me and Uncle Dudley. Basically most of it is Uncle Dudley and I am they _very_ poor guitar from the middle onwards. I recorded loads of options in Garageband and he pulled out the bits he wanted.
I plan to do various remixes of it at some point.

I literally just got hold of iLife and Garageband 2 so, heres my first attempt with GB 2 (done in a couple of hours this evening) - Disturbulance. Its my typical shoddy standards so i dont expect a Brit Award.
